The nation was watching along with Fairfield High Preparatory (FHPS), Fairfield City Schools, our community, stakeholders and the state of Alabama as FHPS’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) Program upheld it’s long-standing tradition of being a formidable opponent. There are oodles and oodles of talent at “The Prep” and we absolutely love watching our scholars flourish.
Winning is not new to this Business Plan Team of three. Heaven Harris, JaQuarri Carmichael, and Mckensie Fenil have been working together all year to hone their skills through in-house, area, district, and state competitions. Although each victory was met with happiness, it also presented an opportunity for team members to reflect and improve as they forged toward the next level.
On Saturday, April 20th, the team and their advisors, Ms. Pauletta Brown and Ms. Venkesha Woods, were humbled to hear the melodious words that they had earned first place. Piercing screams of joy and excitement engulfed the space they occupied as they embraced the surreal moment of accomplishment. The overwhelming feeling of meeting the end-goal was here. The journey they embarked upon months ago will go down in history as a victory for this team of three and their advisors. Hard work does pay off.
Welcome home, Team! You represented us well.
